Yardley's Holiday Lights

@Shady Brook Farms

Last Friday night the kids were both anxious to get out of the house, so we went for a drive to check out neighborhood lights and ended up at Shady Brook Farms Holiday Light Show. I'd never heard the term Agritainment before, but once you experience the show for yourself, I think you'll agree the term is fitting. It's a great use of the farm for the community!

First, I was really impressed by the number of local business sponsors with displays as we drove into the event. It's clear that the light show is a cornerstone of how businesses support and interact with the community, and nice to see so many taking part! I immediately regretted not getting a multi-visit pass, I'm sure we'll return - it's close to home and fun for the family.

As we wound through the various displays, nostalgic Christmas music playing on Spotify, I found it an oddly emotional experience. It's a blessing to be able to spend time creating memories with the family. I heard my five year old gasp in awe of displays, and saw joy on my son's face as we slowly drove along. It's magic you wish could last all year, and brought tears to my eyes (in a good way).

My favorite stretch was right here. The photos really don't do it justice, but check it out for yourself and see if you agree. It's definitely worth at least a trip each season, and if your smart enough to do the multi-pass, perhaps a few more!

Until next week...

Enjoy!
