Looking forward to 2017

In a week, Santa Visited Twice!

Days before the holiday, we were lucky to have Santa come for a home visit. Our son is autistic, so holiday visits to malls can be overwhelming, and photo opps can be super stressful. That's why we love the option of Santa coming to visit us during the season. We've been doing it for a few years with great results. To contact Santa Home Visits (based in Langhorne, PA), send us a message and we'll put you in touch with the jolly man himself!

Christmas Morning...

One cool gift that Santa left under the tree on Christmas Eve this year was Fort Magic - a fort building kit. It's something I've secretly wanted for years (for the kids, of course) and a fun way to learn about building, symmetry, mathematics and design. Given the rush for Santa to get in and out on Christmas Eve, our first fort could have had more structural integrity - but it served it's purpose as a unique way for the kids to find and open their holiday gifts!

Peddler's Village

For years, the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve has been a time for our family to take a break from the hustle and recharge. And with the kiddos home from school for a long stretch, we are always looking for ways to keep them busy.

We were so excited for a 60 degree day and took the family for a short drive out to Lahaska. It was bustling with activity. Some of my favorite shops had plenty of post-holiday treats to explore, and I noticed new and updated shops and restaurants, too. A great way to spend a warm winter afternoon!

Farewell 2016!

It's hard to believe that in a few short days we will be ringing in the New Year - saying farewell to 2016 and looking forward to new beginnings. I'm especially excited for the private publication Jim is editing for Lower Makefield. Stay tuned for more on Yardley Living Magazine!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful time of celebration this season. From our family to yours, we wish you an amazing start to 2017 and look forward to working closely with the Yardley Community in the year ahead!

Enjoy!
